River Oaks 4-H Club
|
This past year our 4-H Club had 30 members from 16 families, ranging in age from first grade through 12th grade. Our members, parents, and leaders are involved in the following committiees: Activities, Community Service, Dairy Promotion, Fund Raising, Special Emphasis, and Sunshine. We try to have a great mix of education, community work, and lots of fun. All of our research and literature comes to us from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the University of Wisconsin system, which is what makes 4-H different from any other organization. There are 26 4-H Clubs in Dodge County, and the two highlights of the year are considered to be the Family Learning Days in February and March, and, of course, the Dodge County Fair, where our members were enrolled in 40 different projects. Our Club typically meets the first Sunday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Lowell. For more information, you may contact the below.
